Corridors of Infinity (Final)
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
An infinite roguelite in RenPy!
CONTROLS: WASD for movement and combat actions, E to interact with anything in the room, I to check your inventory inside of the corridors, Q in combat to either cancel action or attempt to flee, and numbers 1 to 8 to use the items in those inventory slots. SPACE, ENTER, or Left Mouse to advance dialogue, Y/N for a bit of dialogue as well.
(NOTE: Make sure caps lock is off! It prevents you from using letter keys!)

The initial idea came from my general love of rougelikes/lites (I have way too many), I've always wanted to make one.
The color choice comes from the Virtual Boy; in fact, the reds used are directly sampled from the Virtual Boy!
Troubleshooting-wise, I mostly had issues with forgetting to add certain things, or trying to do things that RenPy literally cannot do.
My biggest issue was with balancing: Enemy HP scales a little too strongly. When I get better at making games, maybe I'll come back and fix that.
One other thing I'd like to do later is fix enemy sprites and add more music. Enemy sprites look totally fine, but the ones on the left and right tend to not be on the ground. I was also intending for every area to have a unique battle and boss theme, but that turned out to be way to ambitious (with my lack of musical knowledge.)
Short devlog:
With version 2 came items and difficulty settings!
The final version came with the battle system, music for most scenarios, as well a lore book with unlockable pages.
UPDATE: Fixed some interactions and text with the Unstable Mace.

Wow! That's an impressive amount of content for a class project! It reminds me of Dragon Quest and Earthbound. Some balance could be teak, at the end of the corridor I was invincible against the last boss. Keep it up!
